Of course, this had to be first on our list. Our beaches are beautiful! So get all your gear together and head to the sandy beaches where you can sun bathe, play in the sand or take a dip in the ocean.
Take time to relax. Trust me you deserve it, and you’ll love it! You can get a variety of treatments: facials, body wraps, deep tissue massages, mani and pedi and much more! Make your vacation refreshing.
Don’t feel like relaxing? Rather do some shopping therapy. Head out to the cute boutiques and shops. There is a variety of what you can shop for. From clothes to beach gear to trinkets, you can find it all! Visit the Destin Commons, HarborWalk Village, or Silver Sands Premium Outlets.
Everyone is a foodie! And being that you are right next to the water, why not try some great seafood? Here are some places we recommend you try: Fat Tuesday Daiquiri Bar, Acme Oyster House, Marina’s Bar & Grill.
For the more active ones, getting in the water is a must! Have some fun with watersports. Here are some of the many activities for you to try: kayaks, water bikes, boogie boards, paddle boards, WaveRunners, or even pontoon boats. You can visit the Baytowne Marina to try out these activities.
Not really into getting in the water? Rent some bikes to ride around town. It’s a great way to get in some cardio, while also taking in the beauty of this city.
Maybe you like to relax on the golf course. Grab your clubs (or rent some) and get to swinging. We recommend you visit the Kelly Plantation Golf Club. It’s a bit pricey, but most have said it is worth it. A few other places to check out are: Emerald Bay, Regatta Bay, and Sandestin.
Trying to stay in shape while on vacay? Good for you! There are a variety of workouts to keep your beach body hot. Some exercise classes you may enjoy are: Indoor Cycling, Zumba, Yoga or Pilates.
Another one for the active vacationers is tennis. Visit the court and get in some cardio. Some of the places we recommend you check out are: Clement Taylor Park and Buck Destin Park. Both great places to visit and take the family.
Another great place to visit is The Village of Baytowne Wharf. This area has many activities for both old and young alike. Sometimes they have festivals, live music, movies on the Lawn. It really just depends what time of the year you come.
